Review by hotel critic
I recently had the opportunity to stay at Zum Goldenen Engel, a charming guest house that bridges traditional elegance with modern conveniences. The communication regarding key pickup was seamless, an important detail when the check-in desk was closed. My room was spacious, perfectly clean, and equipped with essential comforts, including a flat-screen TV and reliable Wi-Fi. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring fresh fruits and local specialties, demonstrating excellent quality. The hosts were attentive, providing useful maps and recommendations without prompting. The location, just a 10-minute walk to Krems station and the town center, is ideal for exploration. While not at the high-end luxury price point, the combination of thoughtful service, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a tranquil garden area makes it a valuable choice for travelers looking for comfort and accessibility. I would certainly consider returning.
